Words of Wisdom

Proverbs 4:23-27 ISSUES OF LIFE

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh.  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

24v. Put away from thee a forward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.  Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.  Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all they ways be established.

No one will escape the issues of life; they come in so many forms.  The way to handle and overcome the issues is guard what you allow to enter into your heart.  Your actions are a result of what you allowed to enter your mind and heart.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:33 EVIL COMMUNICATION

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

You cannot gossip, backbite, listen to negativity all day and it not affect you; association brings on assimilation; therefore, you have to watch your environment and choose your friends carefully. Your daily communication determines how you treat other people. The war is not what they did or said the war is coming from your own spirit. People can only control what you do when you give them the power to do so.

John 6:64-70 REBELLION VS A DEVIL

But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray Him. ……….Then Jesus said unto the twelve, “Will you also go away? ……Have I not chosen you twelve and one of you is the devil.

The devil is a deceiver, a liar, trickery, cunning and crafty, uses manipulation and trickery. The very essence of his being is destructive.

A Christian or Born again believer might be rebellious or disobedient but when corrected they will get in line, but not the devil. Born Again Believers strive to follow the example of Jesus in love, forgiveness, kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity.

Forgiveness: IS FOR YOU

Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Webster describes forgiveness as the tendency to forgive offences readily and easily; to pardon somebody for mistake or wrong doing

A clearer definition of forgiveness is the process of letting go of anger, desire for revenge, obsessive thinking about those who wronged you. Forgiveness requires courage not weakness. It allows you to analyze, examine, investigate, probe, and scrutinize your thoughts to see if you are operating on self-serving motives. Forgiveness is something we do for ourselves; the scripture says if we do not forgive God will not forgive us.
